In this Blogpost, I am showing, how to add an Image or upload an image in wordpress.
How to Add Image in WordPress
- Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard, this is a typical wordpress dashboard in the below picture.
- WordPress Architecture consists of pages and posts, both have the same functionalities and options but serve different purpose to design the wesbite.
- In both the cases, uploading the image remains the same.
- Go to Posts > Add New Post and you will enter the post creation section
- Click on the + icon which is a feature of the lastest gutenberg editor in wordpress.
- You will have range of options, in our case it’s image hence click on the “image” icon.
- You will have 3 options to upload: You can upload directly from your local computer, you can upload from your internal wordpress media library if the image has already been uploaded and you can insert the image from the URL.
- Here, I am uploading the image from my local compute, as you can see.
- Click on the “Upload” button and select the image you want to upload and click on “Open” to upload it.
This is how you can upload an Image on WordPress Post, or simply you can copy paste the image to upload it in a second.
To revise the process simpler, here is the 3-step simple process:
- Go to WordPress Posts > Add New
- Click on + bar and click the image feature
- Click Upload Image > Local Computer
