Well, In this Blog Post – I’ll be showing you exactly how you can reset password for any user registered in your Microsoft IAM Directory.
You can reset Microsoft Account password using EntraID in just under a minute.
Steps to Reset Microsoft 365 Account Password using EntraID
- Navigate to – https://www.entra.microsoft.com
- Look for – Users Section once logged in to EntraID
Use your admin account associated with 365 account.
Basic Microsoft Business plans does not have self-service password reset for accounts.
User with Global Admin Entra RBAC Role can perform password reset for a user/email account.
Once you navigate to users section – select any user
I’ve selected – testuser@cybernomadtv.com
You will see entrauser details over here
Click on “Reset Password” shown above
It’ll redirect to create a new password.
Click on “Reset Password” button
As you can see, password has been changed and issued a temporary password.
You can provide the user this password.
Once user logs in – It’ll notify the user to update his password credentials.
