How To Setup Office 365 and Configure on Website

Hello, Here in this Article, I am showing you the tutorial and configuration of installing Microsoft office 365 on your website.

How to Setup Microsoft Office 365

To get started, once you have subscription of office 365, this is how the final billing page looks like after purchasing. Check out Office 365 Plans here.

This is office 365 business basic plan, and you get Storage, Apps and Office suite combined.

Now, Let’s get started the tutorial and configuration of office 365 and connect your website.

After you continue, this is what first is needed.

You need to Authorize DNS Records from microsoft, so that the first configuration is done.

Doing this DNS Setup, you are setting own custom domain, in my case it’s [email protected] { When you purchase you get different domain which is temporary}

Now, Change and update your password as we have successfully configured DNS Records provided by Microsoft.

These are updated at your DNS Provider.

If you are using:

1. Godaddy
2. Hosting Provider
3. Namecheap
4. Cloudflare
5. Akamai

Each have their own interface but the process is the same, Microsoft automatically detects and configures DNS at your provider, you just need to review and authorize.

Now this is critical step, after we have setup the custom email using office 365.

Now we need to configure and setup it completely to send and receive emails.

Skipping this step will lead to incomplete configuration.

Click Connect Email > Let Microsoft add dns records

Here, Microsoft will give it’s records which you need to update it in DNS Records where your Website is hosted and configured.

Again no matter which Hosting and Domain provider, the setup remain the same.

1. TXT
2. MX
3. CNAME

Configuring these records will ensure your office 365 is ready and fully functional.

Now, you are ready to send and receive emails.
