In this Blog Post, I am sharing a tutorial on Microsoft Intune which is a MDM Solution from Microsoft.

In Earlier blog post, you checked article on User Creation in Intune.

Now here, you can learn about Group Creation in Microsoft Intune.

Let’s check out scrolling down this page.

How to Create a Manual Group in Microsoft Intune

There are two ways of creating an assigning group in Microsoft Intune.

  1. Manual
  2. Dynamic

Here, this article showcases manual configuration of group.

To get started, head over to Microsoft Intune Dashboard

Navigate to Groups Section to get started.

You can find Groups Tab under Users Section listed above.

This is how the Groups View Looks like in Intune.

Sections in Groups include:

  1. Overview
  2. All Groups
  3. Deleted Groups
  4. Diagnosis and Problems
  5. Settings and Activity
  6. Troubleshooting and Support

As you can see above, there are 12 groups created in the Intune Tenant.

Head over to New Group Tab to start the process.

Fill in the Details for the sections listed:

  1. Group Type – Microsoft 365
  2. Group Name
  3. Group Email Address
  4. Group Description
  5. Dynamic User

Intune has two group types:

  1. security
  2. microsoft office 365

Here, I am creating microsoft 365 group type.

Here, you need to add members to the group.

As per your organization requirements you can add members related to the group.

Here, for the tutorial I am showcasing sample members.

I am adding 4 members to the group “ahmedusa” which we are creating.

Select and proceed for the final group creation.

This is how the final view looks like after creating the group.
