How to Install a WordPress Plugin

In this Blog Post, I am sharing a tutorial on “How to Install a WordPress Plugin

In this blog post, you will see how to install a wordpress plugin in your WordPress Dashboard.

After you enter the wordpress dashboard you can see various tabs on the left.

~ On the wordpress dashboard, open the “Plugin” tab

~ Click on Add New Pluginto install a plugin.

  1. You will enter the plugin directory of WordPress, here you can find all plugins listed in the wordpress directory.
  2. There are 2 ways to install a wordpress plugin – You can directly install the plugin as I am doing it in the tutorial or you can download the plugin pack and upload it in the plugin section to install it.
  3. Both the methods will lead you to the final installation.
  4. In case you bought plugin subscription of any particular function, let’s say you purchased wprocket which is a caching plugin, you will get the api key on wprocket’s dashboard where you will get plugin files for the subscription you have purchased. In this case you will upload the plugin which you have downloaded on your local computer.

~ Here i am searching a Plugin “kirki framework” , Click on the “Install Now” option to install the plugin and activate it.

Once you activate it, you will have your plugin installed.

You need to check where the plugin has been installed in the wordpress dashboard.

The plugin might get listed after installation on various areas like:

  1. In Settings
  2. In the Tools Tab
  3. On the Left side of the dashboard where dedicated page is created
  4. In Appearance section

As you can see, the plugin got successfully activated.

Direct WordPress Plugin Installation

  1. Navigate > Plugins > Add New
  2. Search for Required Plugins > Click Install and Activate

Downloading via package file

  1. Navigate > Plugins
  2. Add New > Upload Files > Install and Activate

You can even install a wordpress plugin via FTP, but that is not required as it gets technical for some users.

Focus is to educate wordpress in a more user-friendly manner, so that everyone can learn wordpress effectively.
