How to Download Cisco Packet Tracer

• Head over to Cisco Net Cad Website here, ( Cisco Networking Academy)
• You will land here and the landing page showcases “Cisco Packet Tracer”
• Now, let’s scroll down to check download options

As you can see there are three course learning modules here at cisco:

1. Getting Started with Cisco Packet Tracer
2. Exploring Networking with Cisco Packet Tracer
3. Exploring Internet of Things with Cisco Packet Tracer

Click and Open the arrowed option titled “Getting Started with Cisco Packet Tracer”

This is the web page where you can download the cisco packet tracer simulation tool.

To download, enroll into the program by clicking get started with self-paced button colored green.

Click on “Download Cisco Packet Tracer” to get software package files

Here, I am downloading for windows 11 pro edition family. Whatever OS you are using, proceed with desired option to download.

Download the file and open the installer and proceed with Installation by clicking next and going with default installation process.

After the Installation of the Cisco Packet Tracer is complete, you will see the Cisco Packet Tracer App Home Page.

To Login into Cisco Packet Tracer, you need account in following:

1. Cisco Networking Academy
2. Cisco Skills for All

Without Cisco Account you cannot enter packet tracer environment.

Cisco Packet Tracer in 2025 have updated tech stack and cisco portfolio where you can practice and build:

1. CCNA Prep and Practice
2. CCNP Foundation Labs

Practice Enterprise Routing and Switching:

1. Cisco Routers ( IP Routing and Routing Protocol Labs)
